The inaugural ESF Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Symposium, was hosted yesterday at STC, bringing together over 130 students and 30 staff to lead the charge on sustainability and ethical governance.

After inspiring opening remarks from STC Principal Carol Larkin and ESF CEO Belinda Greer, keynote speaker Dr. Margaret Burnett (HKU) challenged our young leaders to navigate a rapidly changing world.🌏

Students then moved into a day of "Radical Dreaming," collaborating across schools to identify classroom challenges and develop concrete, radical solutions for the foundation. 🚀✨

Celebrating our students’ diverse talents is one of the best parts of the month👏🏻! We are incredibly proud of the hard work and passion these individuals have shown in their respective fields.

Please join us in celebrating our latest student achievements🏆:

✨Disha Santhosh Kumar (Y11) recently performed a stunning Indian Classical Dance at the Chai Wan Y Theatre, sharing the rich heritage of Indian culture with the community. You can read her insightful article, "The Beauty of Indian Dance," recently featured in the Young Post to learn more about her journey and the art form.

✨Congratulations to Justin Chen (Y8) for securing 1st Runner-up in the Robofest X MRC Bottle Sumo competition (Hong Kong Division). This fantastic achievement has qualified him to compete in the International World Championship in the USA! We can’t wait to see you represent STC on the world stage. 🇺🇸🤖

✨Nicholas Ma (Y13) has had a phenomenal run on the track! At the Hong Kong Track Cycling Race (Rounds 1 & 2), he swept the Men’s Open events, taking home four Gold medals in the Keirin, Scratch Race, Elimination Race, and Individual Time Trial. He also secured an impressive 4th place at the Asian Road Championship. We wish him the best of luck as he prepares for the Asian Track Championship in the Philippines this March! 🚴‍♂️💨

✨A huge well done to our Y8 students, Henry Shan, Daniel Chow, Isobel Guan, and Adhrit Naik , who were honoured with the Sportsmanship Award at the VEX V5 Hong Kong Championship 2026. This award is a testament to their collaboration, integrity, and positive attitude under competition pressure. 🤖🤝

We were delighted to welcome Professor Kendrick Shih from HKU Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine to Sha Tin College on Tuesday!

Professor Shih shared invaluable insights into the MBBS programme, from admissions tips and cutting-edge research to the realities of medical school life at HKU. It was fantastic to see so many students engaging with thoughtful questions about their future pathways. Special thanks to our STC alumni who returned to campus alongside Professor Shih—your presence and perspectives made the session even more meaningful.

The HE Department remains dedicated to expanding student horizons by bringing external expertise into the school community. Creating opportunities for direct engagement with university faculty and returning alumni ensures students can explore their future pathways with clarity and confidence.
